Chicken is NOT the "health" food many think it is. here is why

For many people, chicken is often considered a healthy protein source, but the truth is that it may not be as nutritious as you think. While chicken is a good source of protein, it can also come with a few downsides that might make it a less than ideal choice for some people.

One of the reasons that chicken might not be as healthy as you think is that it can contain harmful additives and chemicals. Many chicken farms use antibiotics and growth hormones to speed up the growth of their birds and prevent disease. Unfortunately, this practice can have negative effects on human health. In addition to the potential for harmful chemicals, chicken can also be high in saturated fat. While chicken is generally lower in fat than red meat, it can still be a significant source of saturated fat, especially if you eat the skin or choose dark meat. When preparing chicken, choose lean cuts like breast meat and cook it using healthy methods like grilling, baking, or sautéing. And of course, be mindful of your overall diet and make sure you're getting plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and other healthy foods in addition to your protein.

In conclusion, while chicken may seem like a healthy choice at first glance, it's important to be aware of its potential downsides. Chicken can contain harmful additives and  chemicals, be high in saturated fat, and lose nutritional value when cooked in unhealthy ways. However, by choosing high-quality chicken and preparing it in a healthy way, you can still enjoy this protein-rich food as part of a balanced diet.
